oh my god. just got asked to be a bridesmaid for my friend. totally excited. so happy. i totally wanted to be there with her, even though we are the kind of friends that we go months wihtout talking, but then when we get together we start up from where we left off at breakneck speed. seriously, when she told me that she was getting married, i immediately wanted to do anything and everything in my power to help her get ready. didnt think i would be a bridesmaid just because we dont see each other often and she had other girls whe would see more frequently. so i figured it would go to them.. and it did. she asked the other, but she just told me that she is unasking them so that i could be in the wedding party becuase she just hasnt felt right without me in her wedding party.
i am quite pleased. and totally excited to help her plan the wedding. or make the favors the night before. or something.

apparently there is a new deodorant. made specifically for guys who have really sweaty really hairy pits.

also, happy cinco de mayo and fake-iversary to my parents. they have been married for 30 years, just never told the state. gotta fix that.

man. the internet i was borrowing got locked up. it was sad. i missed the internets a lot. but now that it is back, i will give you a short recap of my life this week iw as gone:
-saw brandon at his birthday party along with a lot of other fools that i hadn't seen in ages.
-worked a crap load of overtime, including a shift that was 12 hours long starting at 2am.
-went to the gym four times.
-had a very nice wednesday lost.
-life was devastated a week ago when nathan petrelli died.

really everything is overshadowed by the death of nathan petrelli. i still can't come to grips with it. only time will heal this i guess.

watched an officer and a gentleman this afternoon. man i love that movie.

tomorrow i work more overtime. yay. overtime. i love overtime. especially when i am broke like a joke. seriously? broke. i will be broke until my second check in may. and even then i will only be breaking even again. dammit. the whole moving thing. the whole new car thing. and insurance. man, i probably could have thought that trough a little more. but they were all such great ideas at the time. it is hard to be displeased in any fashion at the moment. in fact, i am not displeased at all. rather i am enjoying these decisions. just gotta figure and finagle. it will all work out in the long run, and maybe i can get a sister to float me until that payday ::crosses fingers:: we'll see. i'll be ok now that i am working the overtime again. holler. so far that has gone well. just waking up ass early and whatnot. but the 10 hours that early in the morning and with the workload i have, it really kinda flies by.

today i came up with the idea for an amusement park called obama land. there would be a roller coaster called the campaign trail. lol. and you would hear snippets of campaign speechs as you fly down the hills. and at the end of the day when you are leaving you would get yr admission price in a refund.

upside to this idea: it would be full of win, create jobs, help stimulate the economy.. and let's face it, everyone loves obama.
downside to this idea:.................. there isnt one................. nope, cant think of one................ still cant...............

great afternoon with the samesie. good times all around.

high school dream come true. one of the older boys asked me for my number! holler. even though.. you know.. we are friends and all now.. it just makes me laugh to think about my 15 year old self crapping herself because of the life i lead now. lol.

the two birthday parties i hit up today were fun. but for very different reasons. first was a one year old's birthday party where there were no children except the birthday girl and a crap load of adults drinking. good times. second was a friend's birthday party. hadnt seen this friend in.. i would say 5 years. very nice to see them again. this is also the kind of friend that is totally yr bff one minute and they not the next. just a confusing kid.

but good times all around. more later.

i finally found my signature everyday perfume. quite happy with it actually.

it is called rock princess by vera wang.

finding my own perfume makes me feel as though i have crossed another one of those adult things to do off my list. and i know god wanted me to have it because of the coupon i got.

and my foot is still jank, but now it has thrown off the groove of my right ankle, right knee, right hip, right inner thigh, left inner thigh, right lower back and neck.
gotta love body mechanics.

anyway, the last 48 hours have been kinda weird. granny was not doing so well at all. she got taken to the hospital and we were told by doctors to get ready because this could truly be it. that is really hard to hear. but turns out that she is stable again. it was a uti plus pneumonia making her so bad. and that is being taken care of and she should be able to come home tomorrow they think.
but i was at the hospital for quite a while yesterday. the chairs there are not particularly comfortable. i ended up hurting by the time i left.
and thank freaking god for adam and katy. they did me a crazy drive around town kind of favor to remedy our weird car situation at the hospital. i love them dearly for that.

went to work today ass tired. but managed just fine. my computer tried to kill itself at one point, cuz it just refused to do anything i needed it to. so instead of getting hella more work done today than yesterday i only got one more done. lame. but still, improvement is good.

then leaving work i check my messages and i have one from my roomate/samesie/cousin saying her dad (my uncle) was in the hospital for unknown gastro issues. so i call her to see if she needs any help or me to come down. says shes fine and asks me to get her laundry from the dryer because she had to leave right away and forgot all about it.. so of course i do.

went to the grocery store. got some good salad/sandwich fixings! yay for that

and i watched pathology (staring milo) again tonight. such lovely gratuitous sex scenes.

second day in rofr. not so bad. thought i did pretty well.. until i walked out the door at the end of my day and thought about something and went.. crap and goddamnit! meh. this is the reason i am on 100% qc right?

first day as a rofr. and i am scared by how easy it all seems. after 18 months of being told to follow directions exactly now i am able to make judgement calls and decide on my own for a lot of the stuff. so long as i document the hell out of what i do. and i have learned that due to certain processes you can actually get credit for each case twice depending on how it goes. holler.

and finally, i got my closet sorted through, clothes bagged up that i dont want, boxes unpacked, or as much as they can be without a dresser yet. only two boxes remain in my room, one of shoes and one of foldable clothes. come bonus time i will get my ikea dresser and be done with this. and there are 12 boxes left downstairs. however 6 are highly organized boxes of books waiting for the ikea bookshelf. so really it is only like 6 boxes left untouched. but they are the lightly packed last minute items or crafty stuff that will take some time to put in the right spots.

and i am wearing my dsc shirt. life is good.

tomorrow is my first day in my new job position. shift is 7-330. kinda nervous about waking up in the morning. i am bad at that whole thing. but. i guess all i can do is set multiple alarms and cross my fingers.

also, today while with my family for easter, the magical mystical easter puppy found us. just some random cute little dog we didnt want getting hit by a car. so we entertained the puppy and hoped his people would come by. alas, they never did. but gonna put up signs. poor puppy, all alone on easter.
